Beaches
Cape Town is home to some of the world’s best beaches, featuring white soft sand and a beautiful mountain backdrop. The main beaches include Camps Bay beach, Clifton and Llandudno which are all on Villa Penelope’s doorstep.
Table Mountain and the Cableway
Probably Cape Town’s most famous landmark, Table Mountain leaves a powerful and majestic impression on all who see it. You can either enjoy the mountain though the various hiking trails or take the modern revolving cable car all the way to the top to enjoy the breathtaking views of the city.
Cape Point Nature Reserve
Cape Point is Africa’s most southwesterly point and it is situated at the end of the Cape Peninsula and at the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope. The area flaunts its rugged cliffs, steep slopes and sandy flats which mixed with its internationally recognised unique fauna and flora – make it a truly remarkable place.
V&A Waterfront
Cape Town’s most visited attraction, this vibrant shopping mall is situated on the harbour’s edge creating a magnificent setting. People visit to shop; dine at some of Cape Town’s top restaurants; listen to live music; take boat trips around the harbour and Robben Island; visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and much more.
Robben Island
12 Kilometres from Cape Town lies a place that for nearly 400 years was a place of exile, isolation and imprisonment. With exquisite views of the bay and Table Mountain as the backdrop, this prison was once home to former South African president Nelson Mandela. Now a World Heritage Site and museum, visitors can experience and gain insight into the life and times of the apartheid era.
